Welcome to Nurses' Guide to Basic Aspects of Telehealth.  Telehealth is rapidly changing in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and nurses need to be aware of both Telehealth concepts and specifics of COVID-19.   This course covers four different areas related to working in a Telehealth Environment while providing care.  The first module will cover Telepresence and reviews how you can assure privacy, safety, good communication, and provide care with empathy.  Next, you will explore various scenarios as you learn how to assess patients during a Telehealth visit.  The third module provides information on some specifics of COVID-19 assessment, care, and vaccines (as of Feb 2021).  And finally, we will talk about how Telehealth impacts the overall safety and quality of healthcare.  At the end of this course, you will complete a brief quiz and evaluation before receiving a certificate of completion.
